Very soft material, has elastic corners so it can fit to any couch. I got the xl because my couch is about 7-71/2 ft long. Large cushions. I have fallen asleep on it numerous times with this cover I don't have to worry about the dog claws tearing a hole in my couch. The cover goes from the very front of the couch all the way to the back of the couch and fits snugly.
