The design wraps the wire around the plastic, how it makes an electrical connection I'm not sure. They're cheap, cheaply made, and won't work with the standard T10. Installed in the license plate, reversing lights, went to install in the map. on map lights when I realized they weren't working, put the halogen bulbs back in the map lights and now they aren't working, tried a few bulbs that work backwards and with license plate and don't work. So not only did they not fit/work as advertised, they also created an issue with the system that I now need to fix! Garbage is what it is. Don't waste your time, order Alla bulbs as they work where they didn't and in every other application I've used them for.
