Installation difficulties are only partly Redhound's fault, GM engineers have access to the steering column a real disaster. My complaint about the product is that it was packaged upside down, I'm dumb, didn't get it, tried to force the bend in the right direction, the plastic ripped. I thought, okay, I'll say it anyway, it's okay. But the boot broke when I tried to put it on the shifter. Why I bought this item at a lower price instead of a genuine GM item I don't know, I haven't had such problems with the same item from GM for the Silverado. Lesson learned, but OEM quality.
