Review on πŸ‘Ά KidCo Gateway Pressure Plus Baby Gate: Effortless Installation with Adjustable Width & Tool-Free Setup by Margaret Thornhill

No structural integrity

This goal is made of very poor quality materials and is very fragile. If you try to push the top bracket against the wall, the frame just flexes and never snaps properly. When the gate is closed it holds, but when open it is very prone to falling. The gates don't stay open either, they close themselves which is very frustrating. The self closing also tends to trap my children between the gate and the outbuilding as it allows the child to close the gate on themselves but does not allow it to be opened when half closed. There have already been several cases of children getting stuck in the gate and screaming for help. The so called child proof latch is useless, my 3 year old managed to pick the latch on the first try and the latch broke. Even my 1 year old can almost crack the latch before it breaks. They are also a bit narrow at the collar and the extensions are a bit short. In many places where I wanted to place them, they don't reach the width of the stairs. If you can buy an extra Y-Bracket (two sets) and attach them to the railing on either side (fairly rare use case I think) then they actually work pretty well, but it adds to the cost of the gate.
