This general purpose surge protector/extender works well in my DAW workspace. Much of the hardware I use for recording has power supplies that plug in, and most power supplies have fairly short cords. The dark gray block looks so nice that I can mount it directly on the table. I now have an extension cord which is much more handy for powering my synths, multitrack recorder, pedals, etc. Another very handy feature is that 2 of the 8 AC outlets are spaced far apart to accommodate those larger power adapter plugs. . You know the ones I'm talking about. Those that take up 1/3 the outlet of a traditional extension cord. It also has 4 USB ports to connect different devices. You can charge all 4 ports or use them to power other USB powered devices such as USB fans or lamps. It features a 6-foot, UL-certified, 14-gauge power cord that is flexible, and the cord itself has a right-angle fork for a flatter fit. This works well for an area in my house.
