Review on Aqueon Quietflow Internal Filter Gallon Fish & Aquatic Pets by Maria Ngo

I have been using Aqueon internal filters for several years without any problems. These are the best filters in this price range! Today I'm reviewing a 40 gallon filter I just bought: Long story but my 60 gallon GOLDFISH tank hasn't been cleaned in over a year. It was very gross when I found it, I couldn't even see my fish unless they touched the glass. I added clean purified water and a 40 gallon filter (the largest of them) and the water cleared overnight. It's still yellow because I didn't actually do any cleaning (there was too much algae and such to get it right and I didn't know what I was dealing with) but the fact that it's a different from DARK GREEN (algae) and Not being able to see your fish unless they were literally standing against the glass to see everything in the tank (albeit in yellow tinted water) is phenomenal. I have never had this experience with filters from other brands in this price range. I've had similar experiences with these filters, but reservoirs have never been this bad. I had normal cloudy water (40g filter in a goldfish tank) in 2 hours. This was an extreme situation and I do not recommend not cleaning the tank. I wasn't available for this, and neither could the person who looked after my tanks, apparently. You can't rely on ANY filter (especially in this price range) to keep your aquarium clean! You MUST clean and change the water to keep your fish healthy! I feel like the vast majority of bad reviews come from people who don't clean their aquariums.
