I bought these to mount on a Mazda 5's Inno Square Bar roof rack attached to the crossbar. After a lot of research I found these Nautic Series 570 saddles. They are exactly what I was looking for. Pros: Easy and quick to install. You can leave one side of the connecting screw threaded and then finger tighten the second screw as it is placed on the cross member. Once connected they are securely fastened and the flexible pad forms a shape on the kayak for a secure fit without creating a loosening stress on the hull. - The swivel function is innovative and simplifies loading and unloading. Other products require you to lift a kayak over 60 pounds onto and over the saddle, with these you can simply roll the kayak onto the rack and take it off. The whole process is very easy for one person. The straps supplied are of excellent quality and have a molded rubber guard to protect your vehicle from the cam strut. They are the perfect length so you don't have to tie many extra straps after securing the kayak. With a visible design and additional bolt threads, they could be easily removed with pliers without the need for a wrench. I hope they don't get stolen.
