These bits have several disadvantages. First, the main cutting edge is VERY flat, not as cutting as other Forstner bit sets I have. Second, on the larger sizes, the main cutting edge has been ground down, creating a curve/garland on the edge. This means that the tip is a little blunt, but it also doesn't grip well. Also, the teeth on this set (and all Forstner sets with sharp external teeth) will grab wood and stop my drill when large sizes are used. This is the slowest setting with maximum torque. I will be returning them and spending 4-5 times more on a fish set because I used one of their bits on a one off job that required a specific hole size and it works a million times better than these. Of course, we're definitely getting into sinking returns talking about these fish beats, but count me spoiled, I want the best! rougher bottom and sides when tested with fish bits and rockler bit set for everyday use.
