Review on πŸ”ͺ Knife Sharpener - Sharpening Stone Whetstone by John May

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sharpening knives is very relaxing.

Media could not be loaded. Sharpening knives is like meditation for me. I'm proud of it and finally found these stones that do the job. I'm not a professional knife sharpener, but I love to cook and hate dull knives. It's like cooking. After sharpening each knife, I realign the stones. You can see how I line them up in my video. I draw lines with a pencil and use a leveling stone to straighten them until all the lines are gone. The reason I do this after each knife sharpening is so I don't cut the stone too deep for the next knife. I'm having a hard time leveling #3000/#8000 because the stone is very dense and requires extra work. When they came out of the box they were all in excellent condition. I made some small chips around the edges. from my own excitement. They did a great job and I hope to buy them again! If you're the kind of person who loves lightness, you'd better skip these hand sharpeners. Don't expect the manual to show you how to do it if you don't know how. There are videos that are very helpful and explain the movement in more detail.
