Disappointingly good for equipment

I bought this blade for slicing main meats like ribeye, tenderloin or pork tenderloin for steaks and chops. When I received the blade it had a chip on the edge that took a long time to repair with a whetstone. When cutting large primary cuts, the blade does not slip as expected. It's not about the sharpness, it's about the fact that the blade is quite thick and it takes a lot of strength to cut it. I use this knife for sawing rather than cutting. There are better knives for cutting main meat portions.
