This kit outperforms most competitors in its price range. At the time of purchase, the next cheapest kit with the same rating was $20 more expensive, with established brands expecting a premium of at least $40 over Timetec. I'll admit that brands have dropped prices since then, and you can pick up the G.Skill F4-3600C18D-32GVK at NewEgg for just $130. That's only $10 more for most likely the exact same PCBs and the exact same modules, but with some aesthetic heatsinks on top; if it was any other day of the week, I could put in an extra Hamilton, even though I'm a complete curmudgeon. But the truth is they don't need heatsinks. They handle 1.55 V like never before and reach peak values of 48 °C under load. unfortunately they also treat 1.55V as a trifle. Hynix CJRs are quite notorious for their tRCD/tRPs that hardly scale with voltage, if at all. The same goes for the overall overclocking headroom in this kit. I was able to load 3867@18-22-22-42 with my 7700k, but my best *stable* OC was 3733@15-21-21-40. Don't expect to get much more from them than they are already guaranteed. That being said, 3600 @ 18-22-22-42 XMP is primarily a no-brainer for a 2x16GB kit. (By the way, this kit's profile works fine at 1.35V) If you're using a Z270/370/390/490 or X370/470/570 board and don't have an absolute memory controller. In your processor, this kit connects quickly and works. All in all, this is a great kit at a competitive price. Whatever the case, if $10 stands between you and some damp radiators, follow your heart. But don't expect a huge difference compared to Timetec in terms of overclocking unless they're rocking some premium B-Dies under those fancy branding logos.
