Description of Timetec 64GB DDR4 3600MHz PC4-28800 CL18 Non-ECC Unbuffered Gaming Memory Module Upgrade

Please refer to your motherboard system Memory QVL if you want to occupy four slots. Some systems might lower the memory maximum speed when you install four DIMMS to have full loading. Please remember to activate the XMP setting in your BIOS in order to reach 3600MHz frequency. Otherwise, your system might run at 2400MHz default speed setting (Without XMP, RAM will run according to RAM’s base frequency. To reach advertised speeds, must enable XMP). Intel XMP 2.0 (Extreme Memory Profile) Support DDR4 3600MHz PC4-28800 (Potential to reach 4000MHz) 288 Pin Unbuffered Non-ECC 1.35V CL18 Dual Rank 2Rx8 based 1024x8. Compatible with AMD 300 Series/ AMD 400 Series and later, AMD CPU Zen and Zen+( Ryzen 3/ Ryzen 5/ Ryzen 7/ Threadripper); Intel 100 Series/ Intel 200 Series/ Intel 300 Series and later, Intel X99/ Intel X299 and later, Intel CPU 6th gen and above(i3/ i5/ i7/ i9).

My first order had a bad RAM stick. My computer started freezing on the third day of installation. It could boot at base timings and hit the desktop, but would crash under heavy load. It also failed to boot with overclocking in any way. MemTest86 detected errors 10 seconds after starting the test. My replacement is a little strange. Each OC disables/interferes with my m.2 slot on my Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming motherboard. So I just bought a m.2 SATA and NVMe PCIE 2 in 1 adapter and I'm fine. I'm…

Paired with my 1700x, good price, good buy!

Compared to my 1700x overclocked to 4GHz. Even with XMP enabled (AMD equivalent), it didn't run at the advertised 3600 MHz. I'm not sure if this is the processor or motherboard issue. But I could only run it at 3200MHz with timings of 16-18-19-56. All in all, I'm not too upset that it didn't hit the advertised 3600MHz; At the time of my purchase, many 3200MHz RAM kits were selling for over $75 and I bought this one for just $65 with similar timings. I just hope to get full speed use of this RAM

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • There are doubts

This kit outperforms most competitors in its price range. At the time of purchase, the next cheapest kit with the same rating was $20 more expensive, with established brands expecting a premium of at least $40 over Timetec. I'll admit that brands have dropped prices since then, and you can pick up the G.Skill F4-3600C18D-32GVK at NewEgg for just $130. That's only $10 more for most likely the exact same PCBs and the exact same modules, but with some aesthetic heatsinks on top; if it was any…

Amazing value for money Internals

This 3600mhz kit works fine for me. It uses a custom chip known to work well with Ryzen. This is important as Ryzen is more memory and overclock selective. They will be compressed to 3600MHz CL16 @ 1T with the right combination of CPU and motherboard. Without going into too much detail, it seems like most one-star reviews don't understand memory "binning" and/or memory overclocking specifically with Ryzen. Yes, the standard (industry standard) JDEC speed is 2400MHz at 1.2V. You must either set…

Excellent speed/performance and stability for the price

To be honest these products are incredibly underrated but I'm sure that's part of what keeps the price down so I'm not really complaining . And by "such products" I mean DRAM that focuses almost entirely on function rather than form or "gaming" aesthetics. The truth is that heatspreaders are way over the top even for a 3600MHz kit so I'd rather not pay a penny. additionally for her. Likewise, I don't care about RGB support, so it's nice to have an option that takes the nonsense out of the…

Very very strange experience with RAM

Note: This is an addendum to my previous positive review. ON THE SURFACE IT FEEL GOOD, bought this 64GB "ryzen compatible" Timetec kit sold at 3600MHz for my new 3950x and I was able to get the timings to 16-18-18-36 at " Standard” voltage reduce. I even ran memtest86 on the thing and it was stable the whole hour I tested it. THIS IS HERE THINGS GOED ODD ODD So the RAM was set up and seemed to be working fine. The obvious next step was to test the new system I had just built. Every test I've…

Misleading List, 3600MHz POST Issues

SEP 2021 UPDATE: (Note: This only applies if you have XMP/DOCP enabled. But why buy expensive RAM if you don't!) Well me have to agree with the highest rated comment on this product. This RAM is not designed to run on the 3600 CL18. While this has been working fine for me for about a year, I've been having constant issues with POST for the past few months. Not always, mind you, and they go away after a power cycle, but almost every time I've rebooted or woken up from hibernation, my motherboard
