Works great if you lay it straight and tight very carefully. This one is a little too narrow for the door frame and window sill, so I still had to go to the store to buy a wider tape. It takes a while to put down, but when you're done it folds up quickly and easily and doesn't drag anything. Again, take your time to make sure it's completely secure or the paint will bleed under the tape. It helps if you use a roller instead of a very wet brush. Also use it to stick the plastic wrap to the bottom. It doesn't have to be perfect, so it's a lot easier. To be honest, if you have a strong enough hand, sometimes the hand works better. By the way, it is also great for creating straight lines in your paintings if you are into art.
