We have these installed on our front wall. Very easy to mount and we even mounted these to cement patio walkers. We actually used some 12 volt bulbs and connected them to a battery in our shed which is charged by a 260 watt solar panel. Between the battery and these lights are a timer and a photovoltaic switch. I have them come on for a few hours each evening. Since sunset times change here in Az fairly rapidly, the photovoltaic switch, which is between the timer switch and the lights, will stop them from turning on in the day.These are plastic so not sure how long they'll last, but they seem sturdy and I really like the mounts. They even give you extra hardware for each light just in case, which I think was very considerate.
