Review on 🔧 K&N Engine Air Filter 33-5016: High Performance, Premium, Washable Replacement Filter for 2014-2019 Nissan/Renault L4 (Rogue, Qashqai, X-Trail, Kadjar, Koleos, QM6) by Van Masterson

This filter literally changed the entire dynamic of my 2016 Rogue SV. The CVT shifts smoother and faster, throttle response is much better and the car idles smoother. The transmission used to have retarded ratios because the stock filter, even when brand new, restricted airflow and now allowed the cylinders to decelerate at the same rate as the transmission. This resulted in unresponsive shifting above 3500 rpm. The car felt really sluggish and didn't want to get up and drive. I still wish K&N made an air intake kit for the Nissan Rogue, the filter is good, but the stock plastic air duct is cheap and almost as restrictive as the stock filter itself. The rogue engine design places the intake manifold on the back of the engine, causing the intake temperatures to become somewhat high. An insulated aluminum air intake would have greatly reduced the air temperature in the cylinder head.
