This did not fit my 2012 F150 5.0 V8 (1.5" required), but I purchased the same item from a 1.5" shop at my local auto parts store. The installation was relatively easy if you have some manual skills. I highly recommend installing the cable first before connecting it to the hose as it is very difficult to connect to the heater due to the rubber seal. Since installation it's been 35-38 degrees here in Las Vegas and I've set the timer for 3am. (on for 2.5 hours) and I used an infrared thermometer and it showed 155ยฐ on the temp of the hose next to the heater. I turned the truck on 10 minutes before going to work and when I get in the truck the temperature is optimal. Before I install the heater, I start the truck and idle for 20 minutes and it barely moves the needle when I get in and go to work. Then you have to drive 2 miles for the engine to reach the optimal temperature (180ยฐ-210ยฐ). One little thing that caught my eye: anyone who cleans the bodywork with a grinder does a little more. Either way, it's a good investment for the price, but my biggest concern is how long this thing won't stop working.
