Review on ASUS GeForce Graphics DisplayPort Bearings by Micha Borkowski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I like the product very much, fully consistent with my expectations.

For January 2023 - a very good version of the card, which with a good process takes out everything in 4k-60fps+ (well, sometimes you need to play around with the settings, turn on DLSS, for example, or lower the quality of the rays). Much more interesting for me than the 3080Ti, which, although it seems to be faster sometimes, but in modern projects it hits the ceiling from memory and immediately loses ground. It is worth taking it if you have a good PSU available, which not only has a lot of power, but which has the ability to give 50A (sort of) along the 12V line, otherwise the computer will simply turn off under load or the PSU will burn out - if there is no protection in it. I have it in FullTower with 11 fans: 7 by 120 for blowing in, 3 for 140 and one for 120 for blowing out. The temperature at a long-term load of 90-100% does not exceed 65 degrees. In general, the summary is this - if you choose between 3080, 3080Ti and 3090 - then you should definitely take 3090 :) - this is if from the secondary, because for the money that a new one costs, you can take 4080, and it will already be much more interesting.

Pros
  • - Very good performance - Compactness in the context of the 3090 line, but this is also a minus - about it in shortcomings. - Good cooling (but don't forget to purge the case) - If there is no load - surfing the net, working through RDP, etc., then the fans on the card do not turn on.
Cons
  • - The biggest disadvantage is the TDP limitation. Two 8-pin 150W connectors and a 75W bus. Regular TDP 350W, well, and another 25W left for "wind correction". Overclocking for such a card is essentially ordered. Of course, you can overclock it (experts will remember R9 295X2 with its 500W, the same 2 8-pin connectors . but how they got warm on it and often melted - I myself have such a card in my collection), but No one in their right mind would do this.
