I didn't really believe it but I decided to try it. Very easy to install, very durable, love that it takes a key and holds tight! I would buy more if I needed them and I recommend this to everyone. I use it on our sliding glass door. I simply inserted it into the rail (after turning the wrench to the desired width), tightened it and voila! No more slipping teenagers! ;) It also makes me feel safer. There was an elevator lock on the door, but I never really felt comfortable with that alone. Always kept the bar on the line just in case. Now I don't need a bar anymore. This little lock is perfect!
