The diameter is too big.

The diameter is too large for the standard grip sleeve mandrel. This causes the workpiece to wobble (severely) as it rotates on the lathe, making coating very difficult, if not impossible.

Pros

SIZE TO FIT: These durable non-stick grip sleeves measure approximately 0.55" wide x 0.43" high, pre-drilled for a standard 7mm pen shaft, 60 degree taper, fits most pen sleeve sizes; Manual measurement, please allow a little error in size
