Review on OTC 4676 Windshield Wiper Puller by Robert Morrison

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Will not fit 2003 BMW 5 Series Sedan or 2010 Acura RDX.

I purchased an OTC wiper puller 4676 to remove the passenger side wiper arm on my BMW e39 (2003 530i Sedan). Unfortunately the tool doesn't work as there isn't enough depth to center the tool on the wiper arm (see photo). The tool may work if you've modified it with a grinder or dremel to add depth, but this can affect the strength of the tool. Out of curiosity, I tried the tool (OTC 4676) on a 2010 Acura RDX rear wiper and I'm having the same depth issue (see photo). I then tried the tool on the front driver's side of a 2010 Acura RDX and there didn't seem to be a good way of even getting the tool under the wiper arm without damaging the car (see photo). I've also included a picture of the tape measure tool so others can get an idea of the depth of this tool. FYI I previously bought an OTC 4611 battery post puller when the RDX's rear wiper broke and I needed to replace it. The battery pole puller did a good job on this train. I then used a battery post puller twice to remove the passenger side wiper arm on the e39 parts (there are two connection points on the e39 passenger side wiper arm). But when I decided to use a battery terminal puller on my e39 to remove the passenger side wiper arm, the tool didn't work. One of the battery terminal puller's arms is bent (someone posted photos of a similar error on the tool's overview page).
