I chose this design because either such a diffuser or a fully interchangeable seat with an integrated bidet seemed the best choice to me. Those that are an addition to an existing seat require small risers to be attached to the rest of the seat to keep it level. I also found it best to minimize the amount of hardware at the end of the toilet for easier cleaning. This one seems well done, especially the check valve, which is basically the point of failure you risk adding to your piping. Some of us in the house like it more than others. In winter, the water may be cold, if you flush the water before using the bidet, that's all. I mounted it by hand using the spacers that came with it and so far everything has been fine. The first time I accidentally installed the hose the wrong way around and was puzzled as to why the nozzle hanger didn't fit.
