Review on Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM lens, black by Mateusz Majchrzak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The ratio of price and quality is very pleasing, I will repeat the purchase.

Since this glass was created for cameras with a cropped matrix, it makes no sense to impose any special requirements on it. However, I would like to share my experience. I photograph on a 600d carcass, I bought the lens in addition to the 50mm 1,4 and to replace (if I may say so) the whale 18-135. The FR turned out to be quitecomnvenient for me, I took the lens on a trip to St. Petersburg. But most of all I liked thecommpactness of the camera with this glass, I just carried the camera in my handbag! A review of the lens cannot becommplete without photos taken with it in thecommpany, so I am glad to share a link to a folder with a photo of the "eye" of this glass: I myself thought for a long time before buying, looking for photos from this lens and I will be glad if this helps someone with a choice.

Pros
  • ✦Size and weight. After the giant whale 18-135 this is felt especially strongly. ✦Autofocus is fast, quiet, even at dusk the lens almost "does not crawl". ✦ Convenient FR on the crop, I use it for everyday wear. ✦ The minimum focusing distance is 16cm! ✦Colors betray quite well.
Cons
  • Not very sharp, but for such a price it is simply a sin to complain. Vignetting wide open. HA are present, but for the PFR this is a completely normal story.
