It has a weird rubbery smell when you first take it out of the box. Fit as expected, I bought the wide design. The shoe is pretty tough on your feet if you have plantar fasciitis or if you work long shifts. I usually add a layer of memory foam when I wear these to work because my feet start to hurt after 6 hours. The foot is pretty comfy otherwise. A lot of room to move your toes. Would recommend.
