Just bought an 18 lb model for use on the river we float on the pontoon. The bottom is very soft and muddy, you easily fall 10 inches while standing on it. I've only used it once but this anchor has a good grip and will last. It's a river, so there's always a current, and there was a decent wind, and we weren't drifting like we used to. (Note for reference - this is a 24" pontoon boat and I am using an 18lb anchor at the bow and stern). It had a few small dents when it arrived, but I don't mind. I love how the eye hook is integrated into the design. The anchor I lost last week was basically the same design except it didn't have the teeth that this one has and the eye hook was welded on. The old anchor hadn't snagged on anything in any way. When I picked it up the rope and hook were intact so I can only assume the welded eye hook is broken. I don't see it happening with this one.
