For me, a thin wallet with a window on the outside for my DL and at least one outer compartment for frequently used credit cards are the most important factors. My previous wallet had these things, but it had a money clip that was hard to get hold of. The "magic" wallet component was an upgraded version of the money clip. The trick is simple, you can actually make it out of cardboard and ribbon, but the wallet itself is high quality. Important Note: Things in the wallet strips need to be flexible (like paper money), stiffer things like credit cards won't "magically" fall in by themselves and you'll need to manually insert them into the wristband for storage. In any case, you will mainly use the bag for heavier stuff.
