Review on πŸ’Ž Durable DEWALT Diamond Grit Oscillating Tool Blade for Flush Cuts (DWA4242) by Loren Schmidt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

First six star product (at least in my shop)

For my specific purpose (concrete grinding) this disc is one of the most inexpensive and practical finds in my shop. The blade length is sufficient to penetrate in/under the door jambs (even with a hinged door). As a diamond and not a carbide, it cuts concrete well and for a long time, is aggressive but does not scratch concrete. I have 3 cordless oscillating tools (the Milwaukee blade changing process is insanely tedious - stay away from it! DeWalt is a 3 second dream to change blades so I have two and love them). In any case, that blade is where it is. for cleaning concrete corners and entrances under objects (drywall, door jambs, gutters, etc.). This blade worked so well that I was able to efficiently leap over a doorstep and down a short section of wall as if it were a fine pot wheel. The longer than usual blade length (compared to the consumer HD) likely contributed to its greater range during oscillation.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
