Review on πŸ’¦ EVGA CLC 360mm RGB LED CPU Liquid Cooler with 3X FX12 120mm PWM Fans: Intel & AMD, 5-Year Warranty (400-Hy-CL36-V1) by Mark Harrison

It's a secret in Internals

This aio is an earlier generation of liquid coolers, alongside most other companies. However, this does not detract from the performance as a device! I've been using standard fans on the 240mm version for a number of years and they just don't perform what I expect from liquid cooling. Not only that, but if you hook up a splitter from the pump housing to your fans, you won't be able to control them in PWM. The EVGA software is quite complex in terms of how much you can manipulate on a lesser scale. Your best bet is to connect to the motherboard headers and control the fan curves with PWM. Pump lighting and speed can be selected in the app and then erasably stored in the pump's firmware! It's been my whole experience of 240 and going to 280 with noctua's two NF-A14 PWM fans (yes they're ugly anyway) but these are the most efficient fans I've ever bought and that was 6 years ago, 5 builds later! They really are the key to making this AIO (280mm) such a beast. Create a moderate RPM curve for your pump by plugging in the AIO header on your board and turning the fans down to just below audible and it's too legal to drop them. Much luck!
