Review on Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 215/55 R17 94V summer by Stanislaw Glusinski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Im amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

Despite the shortcomings, having skated three seasons on one set and propping the sidewall of one of the wheels on the curb, as well as having numerous punctures and cuts in the last season, I took exactly the same rubber again as a replacement. I did this for the first time in 22 years of driving experience, as the rubber is very, very much liked for its unsurpassed tenacity in corners and excellent behavior in the rain. Yes, and I am writing a review about rubber for the first time, as I am very pleased with it. Rubber for a quiet, comfortable, safe ride. On the track I operate 100-140 km / h, the handling is good, but it slightly dulls during sudden changes. Even in heavy rain I do not slow down - the contact does not weaken noticeably. Below +7 degrees it starts to tan, below +5 it is already uncomfortable and unsafe to ride, this is normal for soft summer tires, you need to change your shoes to winter ones. With an energetic driving style, it easily rolls into slicks for the season (I have an example) - definitely not for racers.

Pros
  • Excellent road holding, incl. and in the rain, it is difficult to break the skid in a turn - very tenacious. Soft, comfortable, relatively not noisy.
Cons
  • A very soft and vulnerable sidewall - it is pressed through with a finger (a fee for the softness of the move), it easily breaks on the curbs, it is absolutely impossible to rub against them. It is very sensitive to the track (amendment - the new one is not at all sensitive, but by the end of the third season it is no longer possible to drive on the track). Insufficiently responsive to steering, blunts (again, due to soft sidewalls). Hard to steer when parking.
