I needed two new remote controls for my 20 year old Genie garage door opener. I always shop Best Buy due to high expectations in price and service. I found the right remote at the right price sold by 365GarageDoorParts, an Best Buy affiliate. I ordered two of the remotes on April 5th, and the package arrived very quickly on the 9th. An oversight had occurred in that only one remote was in the package. That afternoon, I emailed Best Buy and explained about the missing remote. I expected to hear a response in a day or two. My expectations were exceeded when I received an email from Rodger in the customer care department of 365GarageDoorParts apologizing for the problem at 8:49pm THAT SAME NIGHT. I doubt Rodger is the owner of 365GarageDoorParts, but he reacted like he was. I mailed the requested copy of the invoice on the 10th and the other remote arrived on the 14th. Both the initial order and the sending of the missing remote occurred over weekends . Again my expectations were exceeded. The dreaded "programming" of the remotes consisted to pushing a button on the opener head, then pushing a button the remote. Done.Best Buy and 365GarageDoorParts turned a potential problem into a positive customer care experience. I spent my working life in retailing and I can tell you this the way customer service should be conducted.
