Review on ๐ŸŽจ Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolor Studio Set: 45 Half Pans for Creative Excellence by Amy Claeys

Great color in trash palette

Color is great colors are vibrant great color especially for beginners little mixing required to get the color you want. HOWEVER the main draw of watercolors for me personally is the portability, the ability to work outdoors while I work outdoors and this palette is rubbish compared to similar brands, every time I take it somewhere the trays shake and fall out. . I've started using folded plastic sheeting for the sides, when my paints dry or to stay in place they still shift and I'm not strict with my supplies, the paints are neatly stored in a safe place in mine Field gear stowed away but every time I use it I have to put the pots back in place and it's very frustrating. Windsor & Newton halves are smaller than typical halves so buying an empty palette for them wouldn't work either, if I knew this would happen every time I wanted to paint I would get a Paul Rubens palette instead buy full size from pr glitter that lives in the same set as this one and i never had this problem. The color itself is great, the overall usability is just ridiculous.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Easy to repair
