After losing my ten year old Studfinder junk I got Jurgen K "Multipurpose 5 in 1 Stud Finder". I've been pleasantly surprised at how far stud finders have come since I bought them. It has accurate and clear bolt detection capabilities and alerts you to electrical wiring and metal in wall cavities. I haven't had a chance to test its metal detection abilities, but I've found the electrical line alarm to work great. It also helps make the scan more accurate by allowing you to measure the thickness of the wall covering, such as wall covering. B. Drywall set. I'm glad I lost my old one; It was so old fashioned compared to this one.
