Beginner gardeners here. I had to plant the gladiolus bulbs 8 inches deeper. The first time I planted these bulbs with a hand shovel, about 15 bulbs later I saw a Garden Answers video on YouTube. She used different drilling tools and saw how easy and quick it was. I love this set because it comes in the sizes I need for my small garden. I also use colorful plant labels. Nice bonus as I only needed the tools. Highly recommended
