Review on YOSUN V13H010L68 Projector PowerLite Replacement by Bryan Maignan

The lamp seems to fit my Powerlite Home Cinema 3020 projector, but only worked well for a few days, after which problems started appearing. First I took the lightbulb out and put it back in a couple of times and it ignited. Now I've learned to just listen for the sound when it turns on. If the fan blows heavily on the first start, I just open the lamp door to turn it off and try again. I will keep doing this until I hear a distinct deep beep. which I think most of the comments complain about. Every now and then it starts on the first or second try, sometimes after 5, 10, 15 or 20 times, so I don't screw the cap back on again. Yes, it's a headache, but that's what happens when you forget to return a crappy item. I really rarely use the theater room, more so when the family comes in and wants full surround sound. It sucks when my kids want to use it alone because sometimes they can't get it to start. The lighting isn't bad, but it quickly dies out due to the amount of usage. For my next lamp I buy the cheapest I can find because if the experience is the same I'd rather go cheap. This lamp is expensive compared to the others and I really thought it would look more like the original but it doesn't. Amazon's latest update allowed me to return this lamp, but I was charged a $17 restocking fee. I bought the cheapest I could find for $30 and they even had the option of a 3 year purchase guarantee and I don't regret the purchase, no more fiddling with the lamp it lights up right away ok clear picture. We have used it many times for a month and it works great. The bottom line is don't waste your money on this, there are cheaper and better products out there that will make you a lot happier. Revain just confirmed they will refund the restocking fee so thanks Amazon but save yourself the headache anyway and look elsewhere.
