I'm so happy I bought this slicer. One of the best purchases I've made in a long time. Pretty easy to use. Unfold the dipstick but leave the oil on the paper. Line up the slicer on top of the butterstick and press the butter down. Then, without removing the knife, take the butter stick to the paper and twist the stick onto the butter dish. Gently run your thumbs or forefingers across the paper to complete the cutting process. Good even slices that help keep the butter dish less messy and make measuring easier during cooking.
