The folding ladder provided by the customer appears to be well built and is easy to get on and off. The saved position is tilted down at an angle of 45 degrees. Can't say I trust it to stay in place while cruising down the freeway at 65 with no modifications. After drilling and installing it on my Chevy Kodiak, I was disappointed with its overall design. After some modifications, in the storage position, the ladder is completely flat or parallel to the bottom of the body and folds at an angle of 15 degrees. This eliminates the need for an additional support to keep the ladder in a horizontal position. Initially I was disappointed with the design but after some revision it suits my needs perfectly.
