Review on 🔳 HON1-4oz Honing Solution by Smith: White by Ryan Gilliam

Due to good reviews I switched from honing oil to this solution. I had very sharp edges for a long time and I ran out of oil. However, after several uses of this solution, I was never able to achieve a truly sharp edge. After some blades became dull from heavy use I cleaned my stones and switched back to sharpening oil (Lansky) and was able to get very sharp edges right away. I really wanted to like this honing solution because I wanted to get away from oil; but it wasn't even close. Perhaps this solution would work better with other stones. It was terrible with my stones.
