I commute to work almost every two weeks. I originally bought the Blink camera system because I loved the months of battery life and the tiny profile cameras I could mount in the corner of my room. They served me well for a while, but like many people, I had serious privacy issues. when Revane bought them. Eufy camera systems are different. The footage is not uploaded to the cloud, rather all your video is stored locally on your device. Eufy claims it's encrypted, but I want them to state whether or not their employees have a way of accessing the footage. Clarification on privacy would have helped set them further apart from Blink and their other competitors. I chose the Eufy 2C after having an amazing experience with the Eufy Video Doorbell. I'm so glad I did! The cameras have a low profile and easily fit into corners or can even be easily mounted on walls. The base station is fairly small and feels right at home next to my router, and the app works right out of the box with no headaches. The cameras have clear video and audio, and Eufy offers easy installation instructions. I would like the mounts to be magnetic or for the cameras to be able to be quickly removed for charging. Luckily, the battery life hasn't lost a tad in a few days, so I'm hoping for infrequent recharging. In particular, Homekit support and expandable storage are missing, but Eufy promises us that these two features will be available soon. They seem to have a good track record in customer service so I'm hopeful. I'll list some pros and cons below, but to be honest none of the cons is the deciding factor, I just hope Eufy considers them in their next software and product updates. iterations. This is the best video surveillance system I have ever used and also one of the easiest to set up. I cannot recommend this product enough! Obtain! Pros: - EXCELLENT video quality - Spotlight function - Hassle-free app and long wireless range - Good installation guide - Battery life / charging via USB - RTSP (record to network or NAS!) - Clear audio and 2/ch audio - Good night vision performance - Light recording - Built-in sirens on every camera and base - AI detection means my pets won't turn on the cameras (THANK YOU!) Cons: - No HomeKit support - No geofencing (automatically arm to disable on arrival) - 16GB / No memory expansion option via USB or SD (yet) - Mounts are clunky, magnetic would be much easier to remove for charging - No option to re-order cameras in the app.
