I don't know why they got such good reviews. 2 of these dies are larger than the plywood sold in American stores and lumber mills, as listed on the label, and they are all larger than the label at the factory. Get a 1/2 inch nozzle. For a good fit, it should be 15/32 inches. (0.469 inches). The label on the box says 31/64" (0.484"), which is already 1/64 oversize. This is unacceptable even if the bit size matches the label. Investigate this beforehand, even if the product is not suitable for the use described. The next problem is that the bit size doesn't match what the label says. Using the same 1/2" bit, marked 21/64" (0.484"). actual drill diameter at the tip of the cutting edges is 63/128" (0.492"). The bit is already 0.015 inches larger than it is 0.008 inches worse. A .023 inch gap in a joint is unsightly and provides little or no additional strength over a simple butt joint. marked for correct size but 0.010" over the advertised size and the bit I received had 0.002" of runout. Such a large concentricity on the milling cutter is not only inaccurate, but also dangerous! I attached a sample connection to some scrap so you can see how unsightly the .021" gap is in a simple slotted connection. Also included is a picture with a probe. The plywood gap gauge has been measured and corresponds to the nominal thickness as a standard in the USA.
