Even though this is for "Plus Size" (which you probably won't know unless you click on the company link), I've made my choice to try it hoped it is so. There will be room for layers. It would probably be fine for this purpose, but the zipper was very pointy and narrow. I wouldn't want it around my neck. I returned it. As an indication of size: I am 1.35 m tall and 135 cm tall.
