Battery contact is a fatal error

While I can't vouch for the accuracy, we were very pleased until we had to replace the batteries, just after the one-year warranty expired. At first I thought something was wrong with my brand new batteries as the device would not turn on. Eventually I realized that the problem was with the + contact of one of the batteries. As you can see in the photo, one of the batteries has a typical positive contact, while the other has a thin spring (like the negative one, but smaller) and it's almost impossible to insert the positive end of the battery. good contact with him. I spent at least 30 minutes trying to find it - which I don't want to do every time I need to change batteries. Extremely annoying and clearly a design flaw. I've seen many electronic devices that use two AAA batteries, but I've never seen such a poorly designed battery arrangement.
