I learned to cook on a cast iron gas stove before gas stoves had automatic ignition – you had to use a match. and teflon pans. But recently I got a huge discount on a used gas stove. I love it. I prefer cast iron. I wish I could keep my grandmother's frying pans, but we didn't. I teach my husband how to handle and care for cast iron. This scrubber is the best idea and I really like it. When the pan has cooled, I add salt to the pan and use this scrubber. It all takes off. Add some water to rinse after wiping off the coarse salt. Put back on the stove. When you don't need soapy water to get rid of sticky dirt. Place the pot on the stove to let the water evaporate until it disappears. . Apply a thin layer of oil and leave on the burner for 20-30 minutes to preserve this spice. This scrubber is the best! Virtually no effort to keep pots clean. The silicone insert is awesome. An improved design over flat chain scrubbers that require your fingers to manoeuvre. finger rescue! I highly recommend this chain brush with silicone insert for cleaning cast iron pans. I want to get another one for my vacation so I can start collecting cast iron in this house too!
