I have three of these ASUS VA27EHE 27-inch monitors for everyday work (not gaming) and they are bright enough, with an excellent resolution, and the savings are even greater. I've looked at the specs of so many monitors and not only do they have good specs, they do it at a very affordable price. You could spend more, but I don't think you'll get much more than they offer in the 1920 x 1080 resolution arena. I don't play games, so if that's your thing then you might have other considerations, otherwise this monitor is a cat meow.
