This is a very strong platform bike rack (usually wheels attached, not frame). With quick release pins, it can be disassembled to a more compact size very quickly. Adding a stabilizer bar to your hitch receiver is an added bonus and creates a very stable platform. The hook mount that keeps the frame stable has a nice foam edge to protect the frame. The instructions say you can use a soft cloth for extra protection if needed. The wheel straps are nice, thick, flexible rubber that should last a long time. The initial install took about 40 minutes to get everything set up correctly so the bikes weren't touching and the clamp's wing nuts were engaged. good location for easy access without obstacles. The entire device is quite heavy, so it is convenient to place it on the vehicle in parts. Marking the pieces with colored tape, paint, or markers also helps determine which piece goes where, and the same goes for the position of the frame locks on the vertical bar. All in all a great bike rack for the money. It costs a lot less than big brands and does the job perfectly. I have used it several times and am very happy with the purchase.
