I have had a corded rock drill for many years. It took me several minutes to drill a one inch or one and a half inch hole in the brick. Then one day I had to pierce a rock. It took 30 minutes and the drill went bald. So it took almost 2 hours to drill 4 holes. I told my friend about this and then he told me I need to upgrade to an SDS brushless impact drill. I usually work in a workshop and follow the Dewalt line because it's used on most job sites. I have a few green tools, but not many. I didn't need a top of the line SDS brushless hammer drill and it was well worth my price. One day I received it. It was easy to assemble. You just screwed on the handle, inserted the SDS drill pass, installed the battery and you were ready to go. The first hole I made in the brick took less than 5 seconds. I laughed and giggled. Where has this tool been all my life? It used to be like drilling rocks with a hammer and chisel. I did 4 holes in under 30 seconds. No more sweat and pressure on the drill. I felt like drilling for oil. It was so smooth and fast. For several minutes I didn't lift weights with a drill and battery until my shoulder and back hurt. I even made another hole in the same rocks as before and he went through it in seconds. Wow!
