Let me start by saying that I used this for an application it was not intended for. However, when I received the board, no firmware was installed. Just note that you may need to flash it before using it. You can find many videos how to do this. Now for my use. I used it to build an Ender 3 Pro with a dual extruder. I installed custom firmware, an extra stepper motor for the extruder, and a heatsink on top of the open stepper motor driver. The board works great for my application. Fits (snugly) in a standard motherboard case and works with a 24V power supply. In summary, once the firmware and silent drivers are installed, the board works fine. If you're familiar with installing firmware or can follow a step-by-step video or guide, it's worth rolling the dice. You may or may not get one that works without having to flash it.
