They are small. If someone were to use them for baking, they would be the size of a single serving. However, based on reviews from other buyers that they rust, I wouldn't buy these for groceries. I gave these five stars because they really are perfect for melting 104ml cubes of R&F encaustic paint. And there's still room to add a brush and some medium to extend the color. They are seamless and rusting is not a problem due to the oily protective nature of the beeswax based paint. I've bought several of these sets for less than $10 and will likely come back for more. It is convenient to have a container for each color.
