So far the first set has planed everything from softwood to hardwood with very good finishes. My only complaint (and this may be minor) is that they were .0105" wider compared to the OEM blades and I had to adjust them during installation to get them to run smoothly and properly. Also, not being proud of the base when it's set to 0 inches (i.e. you can put it on the board on the bench without risking bumping into the board). I spoke to some friends in the woodworking group and they said there isn't a 'big one' since OEM blades need to be height adjusted when swapped out (when they're mass-produced you don't have to get a size block every time you change blades). ) . Otherwise they work without burns (even with heavy cuts).
