I have oily skin. If I find and read about a moisturizer that controls oil on my face, I'll buy it. Judging by the reviews, I had high hopes for COSRX. I applied it to a cleansed face without serum. I waited until the weekend to try it for the first time to avoid my usual skincare routine which involved post-cleansing serum and then my regular makeup regimen. The moisturizing cream is transparent and light. It has been applied well. My skin became soft and hydrated. I could feel my skin absorbing it. There was a small oily residue that bothered me. Unfortunately, within 30 minutes my skin became blotchy. My skin felt sticky and my pores started filling with oil. In less than an hour you'd think I hadn't washed my face. My face got stickier. An hour later I washed my face again and applied a mild moisturizer and after a few hours the spots were gone. I don't have sensitive skin. My skin is used to harsher ingredients like retinol, benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid as I have acne prone and oily skin. My skin didn't like it. Obviously the birch sap in this moisturizer didn't work on my skin. The smell I smelled was pleasant. I want this to work for me. This is my personal experience and it didn't work, but I feel like this is a good moisturizer and could have worked for someone else, it just didn't work for me.
