I bought a set of two cables for my Kindle Fire and in my experience I always need both. Why? Now, when I put my Kindle on my lap and it slides to the floor, the connection to my Kindle becomes deformed and cannot be reconnected to the Kindle. I have to buy this item again and again. Not a bad deal if you're a provider, but not such a good deal if you're a user. I can be clumsy, but I am, and I don't like that the connection is so unreliable.
