Review on 📻 Pyle PLMRCW1: Water Resistant Smoke Colored Marine Stereo Cover with Flip-up Door & Mounting Gasket - White by Simo Ramsey

The product arrived on time. It appears to be well built out of heavy plastic. I haven't had a chance to install it for the following reason: as some others have pointed out, the lid doesn't stay open more than 30%. The springs seem too weak. I spoke to a rep from Pyle (the company whose name is on the product but I suspect it's made in China) to see if there was a way to adjust the spring tension. and he said no. I am sending it back and asking for a replacement. If the replacement works well I will revisit this review. If a replacement has the same problem I will buy another one. UPDATED: Received the replacement today and it arrived quickly and early. The lid doesn't stay open at all - not even 1mm. I am sending it back for a refund. One reviewer stated that he simply installed it upside down so gravity would hold it open. I doubt it will be waterproof in this position. I changed my rating from 2 to 1 star.
